Internet Call Manager
Internet Call Manager lets customers manage their phone calls when they're online - whether at home, at the office, or on the go.
ICM is a mature, stable system for offering end-to-end service to to dial-up Internet, local telephone and wireless customers at very low cost, delivering exciting and useful features even with legacy equipment.
While consumer VoIP telephone services is an exciting technology, most consumers are looking for features, and only expect "excellent sound quality" when it comes to engaging in a live voice conversation. By offering these features using existing infrastructure, telephone service providers can be competitive in this space years ahead of broader deployments of new platform investments.
ICM does not use any VoIP interfaces, which means it can be plugged into legacy equipment with standard PRI access arrangements. It can add value to many call flows using basic switch features such as Call Forward Busy. Call Forward No Answer and Sim Ring.
Internet Call Manager can be targeted at different consumers in different ways:

ServicePoint took over the Internet Call Manager service from America Online in September, 2009. AOL had purchased ICM through its acquisition of InfoInterActive in 2001. The founder of ServicePoint, Bill McMullin, was also the founder of InfoInterActive - so it has been a full circle. What that means for service providers is a team of individuals with a deep understanding of the system and the issues for smooth operation.
